Infinera compatible TOM-100G-Q-SR4 Description

EdgeOptic's TOM-100G-Q-SR4 compatible is an Infinera-coded version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-100 multi-vendor QSFP28 transceiver. One physical 100GBASE-SR4 design ships against the EEPROM coding required across the major optical-platform vendors, including the Infinera TOM product line. The module covers 100 Gb Ethernet over four parallel 25 Gb/s lanes on multi-mode fiber to the 100GBASE-SR4 specification.

TOM is Infinera's product designation for client-side pluggable transceivers on their optical transport platforms. The TOM-100G-Q-SR4 SKU corresponds to Infinera ordering part number 130-0334-001 and is the parallel-MMF QSFP28 client-side optic in the 100G TOM-Q family. Engineers ordering by part number and engineers ordering by SKU end up on the same physical module.

Optical specifications: 850 nm VCSEL transmitters across four lanes, RX sensitivity better than −10.3 dBm per lane, 1.9 dB average link budget, 100 m reach over OM4 and 70 m over OM3. The line side runs NRZ at an aggregate 103.125 Gb/s with no host FEC required for the SR4 PMD.
