Infinera compatible TOM-10G-SFPP-SR1 Description

EdgeOptic's TOM-10G-SFPP-SR1 compatible is an Infinera-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. TOM-10G-SFPP-SR1 is Infinera's part number for a 1310 nm single-mode 10G tributary optical module. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432). EdgeOptic programs the EEPROM for Infinera host recognition; Infinera documents the TOM-10G-SFPP-SR1 for its TIM-5-10GM sub-slots.

The module transmits at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber with an LC connector, reaching 10 km at a 6 dB link budget. A DFB laser drives launch power between −8.2 and 0.5 dBm, and the PIN photodiode receiver is rated at −14.5 dBm sensitivity with 0 dBm overload. DOM per SFF-8472 reports TX and RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current in real time.

The EdgeOptic compatible covers 10G Ethernet LAN (10.31 Gbps) and STM-64 (9.95 Gbps), with the active rate set by the host port. It runs from a single +3.3 V supply across a 0 to 70 °C range. Infinera additionally specifies its own TOM-10G-SFPP-SR1 for OTU2, 10G and 10.3G clear channel, and 10GbE WAN operation; those modes are not covered by this compatible.
