Infinera compatible TRX100100 Description

The EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 is a compatible replacement for the Infinera (ex. Transmode) TRX100100 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver. It provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber at 1310nm, reaching up to 10km with a duplex LC connector. This module is MSA-standard and works on Infinera platforms that accept compliant SFP+ optics.

The transceiver operates at 10.3125 Gbps line rate (IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR with 64b/66b encoding). It uses a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter paired with a PIN photodiode receiver, with a minimum link budget of 6dB over standard G.652 single-mode fiber. This module is rated for 10GBASE-LR, not OTU2 (10.709 Gbps) framing.

This module is compatible with Infinera and Transmode optical transport platforms with SFP+ ports. Infinera acquired Transmode in 2015, and the TRX100100 part number originated in the Transmode product line. Equipment branded as Transmode and current Infinera hardware both accept this module.

The TRX100100 is an MSA-standard 10GBASE-LR SFP+ module. Infinera and Transmode optical transport platforms generally accept MSA-compliant SFP+ modules on client-side ports. The TRX100100 follows the same 10GBASE-LR specification as modules from Finisar, Cisco, and other vendors.
