Innolight compatible TR-IQ13L-N00 Description

EdgeOptic's TR-IQ13L-N00 compatible is a parallel optics version of the EdgeOptic 40G-QSFP-11 multi-vendor 40GBASE-PSM4 QSFP+ transceiver, built to match the Innolight TR-IQ13L-N00 ordering code. The module uses an 8-fiber MTP/MPO-12 (APC) ribbon connector for parallel single-mode transmission, not a duplex LC connector as some marketplace listings describe. Four transmit and four receive fibers each carry an independent 1310 nm DFB laser channel.

Supported data rate is 44.8 Gbps, covering 40G Ethernet (41.25 Gbps per the IEEE 802.3ba 40GbE MAC) over this parallel 8-fiber single-mode interface, plus OTU3 at 43.01 Gbps and OTU3e2 at 44.58 Gbps OTN framing, and STM-256 at 39.81 Gbps SDH/SONET framing. Reach is 10 km over single-mode fiber with a 7 dB average link budget. Each lane uses a DFB laser across a 1260 to 1355 nm band, 4x1310 nm nominal, with average launch power from -5.5 to 1.5 dBm per lane. Receivers are PIN photodiodes rated -12.5 to 1 dBm sensitivity per lane with a 1 dBm receiver overload point. Digital diagnostic monitoring covers Tx and Rx power, bias current, temperature and voltage readout.

The transceiver is a QSFP+ form factor module for 40G host ports supporting the 40GBASE-PSM4 class of parallel optics, with CML electrical I/O per the QSFP+ MSA. The target chassis or line card needs MTP/MPO-12 parallel PSM4 port support and correct fiber polarity for patch cable ordering.

Operating temperature is rated for the standard 0 to 70 degrees C commercial range, with storage from -40 to 85 degrees C. The module follows the QSFP+ MSA mechanical and electrical specification (SFF-8436) and the INF-8438i parallel optics specification, and is compliant with IEEE 802.3ba, CE, RoHS and Class 1 laser safety under FDA and IEC 60825-1.

Backed by 15+ years of EdgeOptic compatibility engineering across vendor optical platforms, this module ships next business day from EU stock with a lifetime warranty. For project quantity pricing or alternative vendor coding, contact our sales team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the TR-IQ13L-N00 a PSM4 module or a 40GBASE-LR4 module?

The TR-IQ13L-N00 is a 40GBASE-PSM4 class QSFP+ module, not a 40GBASE-LR4 part. It carries 8 parallel single-mode fibers over an MTP/MPO-12 (APC) connector rather than the duplex LC connector and CWDM optics used by 40GBASE-LR4.

Does the TR-IQ13L-N00 use an MPO connector or an LC connector?

The TR-IQ13L-N00 uses an MTP/MPO-12 (APC) ribbon connector carrying 8 fibers, 4 transmit and 4 receive, not an LC connector. The patch panel and cabling plant need 8-fiber MTP/MPO-12 APC terminations, since some listings incorrectly describe this part as LC duplex or 12-fiber.
