Intel compatible AFCT-701SDZ-IN2 Description
EdgeOptic's AFCT-701SDZ-IN2 compatible is an Intel-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. AFCT-701SDZ-IN2 is an Intel-coded variant of the Avago AFCT-701SDZ 10GBASE-LR SFP+ optic. This compatible carries the same optical parameters as the original and complies with IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432). EdgeOptic programs the EEPROM for Intel host recognition, so the module reports as an Intel part on Intel Ethernet server adapters and switch platforms.
The module runs at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber with an LC connector and reaches 10 km at a 6 dB link budget. A DFB laser transmitter drives minimum launch power of −8.2 dBm and maximum 0.5 dBm; the PIN photodiode receiver holds −14.5 dBm sensitivity with 0 dBm overload. The operating wavelength range is 1260 to 1360 nm. DOM per SFF-8472 reports TX and RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current in real time.
The transceiver operates from 1.25 to 10.31 Gbps and covers 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps), Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps), 1/2/4/8/10G Fibre Channel, and STM-64 (9.95 Gbps). Available rates depend on the host port configuration. Power draws under 1 W from a 3.3 V supply, with a 0 to 70 C commercial case temperature range. The module is hot-pluggable and CE and RoHS certified.
