Intel compatible SPTSBP4LLCDF Description
EdgeOptic's SPTSBP4LLCDF compatible is an Intel-coded 100GBASE-LR4 QSFP28 transceiver built on the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-10 platform. SPTSBP4LLCDF is Intel's ordering code for the Intel Silicon Photonics 100G LR4 QSFP28 Optical Transceiver (Intel SKU 209802). The EdgeOptic compatible carries Intel-recognized EEPROM identifiers so the host adapter or switch surfaces the expected SPTSBP4LLCDF ordering code in CLI and management telemetry, and it ships with the same wavelength plan, electrical interface, and SFF-8636 management profile as the OEM module. The module slots into a standard QSFP28 cage and follows the same insertion, hot-swap, and DDM behavior as Intel's original part.
The optical interface follows IEEE 802.3ba Clause 88 100GBASE-LR4. Four 25.78 Gbps NRZ lanes ride the LAN WDM grid at 1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58, and 1309.14 nm, then multiplex onto a single LC duplex pair of single-mode fiber. The 6.3 dB optical path loss budget supports a full 10 km reach on G.652 SMF. Host electrical interface is CAUI-4 (4x25G NRZ). Power draw stays at 3.5 W, the operating temperature window is 0 to 70 C commercial, and the module reports DDM telemetry per SFF-8636 for tx power, rx power, bias current, supply voltage, and case temperature.
Intel markets SPTSBP4LLCDF under the Intel Silicon Photonics 100G LR4 QSFP28 product line. The line is positioned for Intel Ethernet adapters and multi-vendor QSFP28 hosts that accept LR4 ordering codes, and the externally visible behavior follows the IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4 specification end to end. EdgeOptic's compatible matches the original optical and electrical specifications and carries the SPTSBP4LLCDF ordering code so procurement records and chassis inventory output stay consistent with Intel's part numbering. The compatible operates the same way the OEM module does in any host that accepts the LR4 ordering code, including SNMP and CLI reporting of TX power, RX power, bias current, supply voltage, and case temperature. The EdgeOptic compatible carries Class 1 laser safety classification, RoHS compliance, and CE marking.
Works with Intel Ethernet adapters and third-party QSFP28 hosts that accept LR4 ordering codes; verify the entry for your specific NIC or switch in the vendor's transceiver compatibility matrix before deployment. Ships next business day from EU stock with a lifetime warranty. Backed by 15+ years of EdgeOptic compatibility engineering across vendor optical platforms.
