The Juniper Networks EX-SFP-10GE-LR (740-021309) datasheet and price are based on our compatible transceiver 10G-SFP-10-JU, which is designed to meet or exceed OEM part specifications and is an SFP+ 10G LR Transceiver that operates over Double Fiber Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) optical cable. It has a minimum guaranteed optical budget of 6 dB, which in most cases is sufficient to reach a distance of approximately 10 km. However, distance is merely an indicative parameter calculated for identification convenience. Eventually, we calculate distance by factoring in minimal optical budget and average attenuation of industrial optical cabling. Juniper SFP+ 10G LR compatible transceiver uses a DFB Laser transmitter with a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm and a PIN Photodiode receiver.
