EdgeOptic's SRX-SFP-10GE-LR compatible is a Juniper-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. SRX-SFP-10GE-LR is a Juniper ordering code for a 1310 nm 10GBASE-LR SFP+ reaching 10 km over single-mode fiber. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432).
A 6 dB link budget supports the full 10 km span on duplex single-mode fiber terminated with LC connectors. The DFB transmitter launches between −8.2 and 0.5 dBm; the PIN photodiode receiver is rated at −14.5 dBm sensitivity with 0 dBm overload. Measure end-to-end loss against that budget during commissioning, since splice and connector count decide how much of the 10 km is usable.
EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM for Juniper host recognition, so the module identifies correctly on SRX Services Gateways that accept 10G SFP+ optics. DDM/DOM per SFF-8472 reports TX and RX power, module temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current.
