EdgeOptic's Lenovo 00D6222 compatible is a Lenovo-coded version of the EdgeOptic 40GBASE-LR4 QSFP+ multi-vendor transceiver. It moves 40 Gigabit Ethernet across single-mode fiber to 10 km over four CWDM lanes at 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm, combined onto one duplex LC pair. Construction follows IEEE 802.3ba Clause 87 and the QSFP+ MSA (SFF-8436).
A DFB laser drives each lane at −6 to +3 dBm. The PIN photodiode receiver holds −12.6 dBm sensitivity with a +3 dBm overload ceiling, leaving a 6.6 dB link budget for the 10 km reach. Traffic is NRZ-modulated at up to 44.8 Gbps aggregate, and the module runs across 0 to 70 °C. Digital diagnostics report temperature, supply voltage, laser bias, and per-lane optical power over I2C.
