EdgeOptic's SFP-1GSXLC compatible is a Moxa-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1.25G-SFP-550D multi-vendor 1000BASE-SX transceiver. It is a dual-rate SFP for Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps (IEEE 802.3z) and 1G Fibre Channel short-wave at 1.0625 Gbps (FC-PI), built around an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver over duplex multimode fiber with an LC/UPC connector.
Reach is 550 m over OM2 multimode fiber (50/125, 500 MHz·km) and 275 m over OM1. The minimum guaranteed optical budget is 7.5 dB; distance is indicative, so confirm the loss budget for the installed cabling. DDM/DOM reports optical power, temperature, and bias in real time. The module runs from a single +3.3V supply and is built to the INF-8074i SFP MSA with CE, RoHS, and Class 1 laser compliance. Operating temperature is the standard 0 to 70°C commercial range, which covers the Moxa SFP-1GSXLC's 0 to 60°C rating.
