EdgeOptic's MMA2L20-AR compatible is an NVIDIA-coded version of the EdgeOptic 25G-SFP28-10 multi-vendor 25GBASE-LR transceiver. The same universal optical engine ships across multiple vendor codes; on this part the EEPROM is programmed so NVIDIA networking equipment identifies it as a native MMA2L20-AR. The module delivers 25 Gigabit Ethernet over duplex single-mode fiber at 1310 nm, reaching 10 km in line with IEEE 802.3cc and the SFP28 MSA.

The duplex LC module operates from 0 to 70 °C and draws up to 1.2 W. NVIDIA documents the OEM MMA2L20-AR as a 25GBASE-LR module, with 10G operation available by disabling retiming through host firmware or hardware control. The module itself does not perform forward error correction; where the link needs RS-FEC, the host applies it.
