Oracle compatible X5562A-Z Description
EdgeOptic's X5562A-Z compatible is an Oracle-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-10 multi-vendor 10GBASE-LR transceiver. X5562A-Z is Oracle's part number for a 1310 nm single-mode 10 km 10GBASE-LR SFP+. The EdgeOptic module meets IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 and the SFP+ MSA (SFF-8431, SFF-8432), and carries Oracle EEPROM coding so it works on Oracle and Sun platforms that accept 10G SFP+ optics.
A DFB laser launches at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber on an LC connector, covering 10 km at a 6 dB link budget. Launch power ranges from −8.2 to 0.5 dBm, and the PIN photodiode receiver carries a −14.5 dBm sensitivity with 0 dBm overload. Digital optical monitoring per SFF-8472 reports TX and RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current in real time.
The transceiver operates from 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps and covers 10G Ethernet (10.31 Gbps), Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps), and STM-64 (9.95 Gbps), with the host port selecting the active rate. It runs from a single +3.3 V supply across a 0 to 70 °C commercial case range and supports hot insertion.
