LC/UPC to SC/UPC Duplex OM4 Hybrid Patch Cable Description

The EDGEOPTIC LC/UPC-SC/UPC-OM4-DX-B-LSZH-X is a premium multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for reliable point-to-point connectivity in data centers, telecommunications facilities, and enterprise networks. This duplex (2 fibers) patch cable features LC/UPC Male to SC/UPC Male connectors with UPC to UPC polish configuration, ensuring optimal signal integrity for demanding network environments.

The cable utilizes OM4 50/125μm Multi-Mode (MMF) optical fiber, optimized for operation at 850 / 1310 nm (Dual Window MMF). The fiber delivers low attenuation of 3.5 dB/km at 850nm, and 1.5 dB/km at 1310nm, ensuring minimal signal loss across transmission distances.

The optical interface is precision-polished to achieve insertion loss of ≤0.3 dB Max (Standard) and return loss of ≥50 dB (Standard UPC), meeting or exceeding industry standards for reliable network performance. These specifications ensure consistent signal quality and minimal reflection for sensitive optical equipment.

The cable features LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket material, Magenta (OM4 LSZH) color coding, 2 mm cable diameter. With a minimum bend radius of 30 nm, the cable provides flexibility for routing in confined spaces while maintaining optical performance. The cable is rated for 100 N installation tensile load and 50 N long-term tensile load, ensuring durability during installation and extended operation.

Operating temperature range spans -20°C to +60°C, with storage rated at -40°C to +85°C, making the cable suitable for controlled data center environments as well as more demanding industrial installations.

Ideal for short-reach data center interconnects, SAN fabric connectivity, and high-speed LAN applications, this multimode patch cable supports 10G, 25G, 40G, and 100G Ethernet standards. Available in lengths up to 50 m, it provides reliable connectivity for modern enterprise environments.

The EDGEOPTIC LC/UPC-SC/UPC-OM4-DX-B-LSZH-X is CE/RoHS certified, compliant with ISO/IEC-61754, EN 50399, and EN 50575 standards. All cables undergo comprehensive quality testing including optical parameter measurements, connector cleanliness verification, and full specification validation prior to shipment, ensuring reliable performance in production environments.
