EdgeOptic's 100-00442 compatible is a Sandvine-coded 80 km 10G SFP+ optic built to the same optical specification as the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-80 multi-vendor transceiver. It ships with EEPROM coded to the Sandvine part number so the module identifies cleanly in Sandvine appliances without manual intervention. The 80 km 10G SFP+ optic operates at 1550 nm over single-mode fiber and slots into any SFP+ host cage that accepts a standard long-reach module, with no manual override needed at the appliance.
The optical build carries a 1550 nm EML transmitter and an APD receiver across a 23 dB link budget, which is the loss allocation that covers the full 80 km span on G.652 single-mode fiber. Transmit power runs from 0 to +5 dBm, receiver sensitivity is better than −24 dBm, and chromatic dispersion tolerance is 1600 ps/nm. The duplex LC interface mates to standard SMF patch cords, and DDM/DOM diagnostics per SFF-8472 report temperature, laser bias current, transmit and receive optical power, and supply voltage to the host for live monitoring. This is the Standard 0 to 70 degrees C commercial build running on a single +3.3V supply, with CE, RoHS, and IEC 60825-1 Class 1 laser-safety compliance.
