This BiDi transceiver enables cost-effective fiber utilization by transmitting and receiving on a single fiber strand, making it an optimal solution for regional transport networks, long-haul access connections, and scenarios where extended reach combined with fiber conservation delivers substantial infrastructure cost savings while supporting advanced 2.67 Gbps protocol standards.

The BIDI-2.67G-SFP-80-BD module operates at 1550nm wavelength for transmission and 1490nm for reception, supporting multi-rate operation from 100 Mbps to 2.67 Gbps. This exceptional data rate flexibility enables support for legacy 100M Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 1G and 2G Fiber Channel, SDH/SONET standards including STM-1, STM-4, and STM-16, as well as OTN applications including ODU0, ODU1, and OTU1. This Side B transceiver must be deployed in matched pairs with its complementary Side A unit (transmitting at 1490nm, receiving at 1550nm) to establish bidirectional communication over a single fiber strand.
