It carries the EEPROM identification a Source Photonics-equipped host expects, so it drops into 25GBASE-LR slots and reports through the host management interface like the original module. The module is a 25GBASE-LR SFP28 transceiver operating at 1310 nm over duplex single-mode fiber, reaching 10 km on a Double LC/UPC connection. It carries a 5 dB average optical path loss budget.
