Supermicro compatible TRX-100GbE-SR4-FIN Description
EdgeOptic's TRX-100GbE-SR4-FIN compatible is a Supermicro-coded 100GBASE-SR4 version of the EdgeOptic 100G-QSFP28-100 multi-vendor QSFP28 transceiver. It carries 100 Gigabit Ethernet over four parallel 850 nm VCSEL lanes on multi-mode fiber, reaching 100 m over OM4 and 70 m over OM3 with an MTP/MPO-12 interface, running NRZ at four lanes of 25.78 Gbps without FEC.
Optical specifications: 850 nm transmit, RX sensitivity better than −10.3 dBm per lane, and a 1.9 dB average link budget. The transceiver presents a female MPO-12 port and mates with a male (pinned) MTP/MPO patch cord. DDM/DOM is supported for live monitoring of optical power, bias, temperature, and supply voltage. The module operates across the 0 to +70°C commercial range and draws up to 3.5 W. It conforms to IEEE 802.3bm Clause 95 and the QSFP28 MSA.
EdgeOptic codes the TRX-100GbE-SR4-FIN compatible with Supermicro-recognized EEPROM so it works on Supermicro server and switching platforms. This is a 100 Gigabit Ethernet short-reach optic for server uplinks and switch-to-switch links; confirm the optic against the Supermicro platform compatibility documentation for the target slot before deployment. The module is CE/RoHS certified and built to QSFP28 MSA SFF-8665.
