TRENDnet compatible TEG-10GBS10 Description
TEG-10GBS10 is TRENDnet's part number for a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver. EdgeOptic's compatible directly replaces the original TRENDnet module. It operates at 1310 nm over single-mode fiber with LC duplex connectors and supports distances up to 10 km (6.2 miles). IEEE 802.3ae and SFP+ MSA compliant, built on EdgeOptic's 10G-SFP-10 platform.
TRENDnet markets the original as a "10GBASE-LR SFP+ Single Mode LC Module with DDM." EdgeOptic programs the EEPROM with TRENDnet-recognized vendor coding for native registration in TRENDnet switches. Supports data rates up to 10.3125 Gbps (10GBASE-LR), hot-pluggable, 3.3V power supply. Built on the same 10G-SFP-10 platform used across all vendor codings in this product family, so it meets the same IEEE 802.3ae optical performance as the original TRENDnet module. Commercial temperature rating of 0 to 70 C. Under 1W power draw from the 3.3V host slot.
1310 nm DFB laser, 6 dB optical link budget, single-mode fiber (OS1 or OS2), LC duplex connectors. Multi-mode fiber is not compatible with this transceiver. DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) per SFF-8472 is included, providing real-time monitoring of TX/RX power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current through the host switch management interface. DDM enables identification of degrading fiber plant or connector issues before they cause link drops.
EdgeOptic's TEG-10GBS10 compatible is EEPROM-coded for TRENDnet identification and works in any TRENDnet switch with an SFP+ port.
