UACC-CM-RJ45-MG Ubiquiti Compatible Multi-Gig 10GBASE-T SFP+ Module

EdgeOptic's UACC-CM-RJ45-MG compatible is a Ubiquiti-coded multi-gigabit 10GBASE-T SFP+ copper transceiver for UniFi switching and UDM hosts. The 'MG' suffix marks this as the multi-gig variant of Ubiquiti's UniFi Accessory copper module line, supporting 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G auto-negotiation. It is distinct from the older U Fiber UF-RJ45-10G, which is a 10G-only module without 2.5G or 5G negotiation.

The module delivers 10GBASE-T over RJ45 up to 30 m on Cat 6a or Cat 7 copper, with auto-negotiation across 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G rates. Standards conformance covers IEEE 802.3an for 10GBASE-T, IEEE 802.3bz for 2.5G and 5G NBASE-T, and IEEE 802.3ab for 1000BASE-T. Electrical interface follows the SFF-8431 SFP+ MSA, with 0 to 65 °C operating range and CE and RoHS certification.

The Ubiquiti ecosystem for this module spans the USW-Pro-Max family, USW-Enterprise-8-PoE and the wider USW-Enterprise line, USW-Pro-Aggregation, and UDM Pro and UDM SE SFP+ slots. Intermediate 2.5G and 5G rates are only available where the switch port itself implements IEEE 802.3bz multi-gig signalling; on classic SFP+ ports without multi-gig support the module negotiates 10G with a 10G peer or falls back to 1G with a 1000BASE-T endpoint. On any non-Ubiquiti MSA-compliant SFP+ host the module also operates, with the host's own EEPROM policy determining whether it is flagged as third-party.

EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM for Ubiquiti so the module appears as a recognised UniFi Accessory in the Network controller and the UniFi OS console. DOM values, scoped to the fields that apply to a copper SFP+ such as case temperature and supply voltage, surface through standard SFF-8472 DDM registers, visible in the UniFi controller transceiver view or any SNMP collector monitoring the host switch.
