Ubiquiti Networks compatible UF-RJ45-10G Description
EdgeOptic's UF-RJ45-10G compatible is a Ubiquiti-coded 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver built as a direct replacement for the Ubiquiti UF-RJ45-10G, a member of the legacy U Fiber (UF) product family. Ubiquiti has since introduced the UACC-CM-RJ45-MG under the current UniFi Accessory line with multi-gig capability, but the UF-RJ45-10G remains a valid 10G-only copper option for deployments with existing U Fiber inventory.
The module delivers 10GBASE-T over RJ45 up to 30 metres on Cat6a or Cat7 copper, with auto-negotiation between 1G and 10G only. It does not negotiate the intermediate 2.5G or 5G NBASE-T rates that the UACC-CM-RJ45-MG supports; on a UniFi port configured for multi-gig, the UF-RJ45-10G will settle at 1G or 10G depending on peer capability. Electrical interface follows the SFF-8431 SFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3an for 10G, with 0 to 65 °C operating range and CE and RoHS certification.
EdgeOptic's Ubiquiti-coded EEPROM keeps the module recognised by the UniFi Network controller on the switch models that originally shipped with UF-RJ45-10G support, including legacy UniFi Switch SFP+ hosts and UniFi Dream Machine Pro SFP+ slots. Because the electrical interface is standard MSA, the module also works in non-Ubiquiti SFP+ host cages; the host's own EEPROM policy determines whether it flags the optic as third-party. For new UniFi deployments requiring 2.5G or 5G NBASE-T, select UACC-CM-RJ45-MG instead.
DOM telemetry is reported through standard MSA DDM registers, so case temperature, supply voltage, and link status surface through the UniFi controller transceiver view or any SNMP collector already monitoring the host switch. Sites planning new Ubiquiti deployments with multi-gig access ports should evaluate the newer UACC-CM-RJ45-MG for 2.5G and 5G negotiation; UF-RJ45-10G remains the correct choice where existing U Fiber labelling and a 10G-only link profile are already standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will UF-RJ45-10G link up at 1G on a legacy UniFi switch with 1G SFP+ host ports?
The UF-RJ45-10G is a true SFP+ module and requires an SFP+ (10G) host cage. It will not operate in a pure 1G SFP-only port. On an SFP+ host that negotiates 10G, the module will fall back to 1G when the far-end device is a 1000BASE-T endpoint; this is standard IEEE 802.3ab auto-negotiation and is exactly what the UF-RJ45-10G supports. The module does not negotiate the intermediate 2.5G or 5G rates defined in IEEE 802.3bz, so a 2.5GbE NIC or Wi-Fi 6 AP uplink will settle at either 1G or 10G, not at 2.5G.
Does UF-RJ45-10G still function on newer UniFi switches and current UniFi Network firmware?
Yes. The module is a standard MSA-compliant 10GBASE-T SFP+, so it links up on any UniFi switch that accepts SFP+ copper optics, including USW-Pro-Aggregation, USW-Enterprise SFP+ cages, and UDM Pro / UDM SE. Functionally there is no difference from a current-line module at 1G or 10G; the limitation is only the absence of 2.5G and 5G auto-negotiation. For multi-gig negotiation on newer UniFi hardware, UACC-CM-RJ45-MG is the recommended module.
