Our EDGEOPTIC 400G-QDD-DCO-ZRP is a multi-vendor compatible 400G OpenZR+ coherent QSFP-DD DCO (Digital Coherent Optics) transceiver module designed for extended long-haul 400 Gigabit Ethernet applications over single-mode fiber infrastructure. The 400G-QDD-DCO-ZRP module employs advanced coherent transmission technology utilizing DP-16QAM (Dual Polarization 16-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) to achieve an aggregate data rate of 425 Gbps over a single wavelength. This tunable C-Band DWDM transceiver supports ITU-T grid channels 13 through 61 with 75 GHz or 100 GHz spacing, enabling flexible wavelength assignment for carrier-grade DWDM network deployments with extended reach beyond standard ZR specifications.
Our 400G OpenZR+ coherent QSFP-DD transceiver utilizes an ITLA (Integrable Tunable Laser Assembly) transmitter providing precise wavelength control across the full C-Band spectrum, enabling software-defined wavelength provisioning without hardware changes. The receiver section incorporates an ICR (Integrated Coherent Receiver) with advanced DSP processing for polarization and phase recovery. The module ensures a 10 dB guaranteed optical link budget, supporting transmission distances up to 450 kilometers over amplified single-mode fiber spans, or approximately 40 kilometers unamplified. However, distance is an indicative parameter calculated for identification purposes – ultimately we calculate reach taking into account optical amplification, fiber characteristics, and OSNR requirements of the deployed network.
The 400G-QDD-DCO-ZRP compatible coherent module is a hot-pluggable QSFP-DD form factor transceiver with duplex LC/UPC connectors as the optical interface. The electrical interface conforms to QSFP-DD MSA, CMIS V5.0, 400GAUI-8, 100GAUI-2, and OIF Coherent CMIS specifications, ensuring compatibility with standard QSFP-DD host systems across multiple vendor equipment platforms.
