Advantech compatible SFP-GTXB Description
EdgeOptic's SFP-GTXB compatible is an Advantech-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-M, a gigabit-only 1000BASE-T copper transceiver in the SFP form factor. It runs at a fixed 1000 Mbps over unshielded twisted-pair Cat5 or Cat5e, with an RJ45 connector and a reach of 100 m. The module operates from a single +3.3V supply across the commercial 0 to 70°C range and supports DDM. It follows IEEE 802.3ab 1000BASE-T and the INF-8074i / SFP MSA mechanical and electrical specifications, and carries CE and RoHS marks.
This is the gigabit-only SFP-GTXB (Advantech P/N 808-39010), not the tri-speed SFP-GTX. It links at 1000 Mbps only and does not fall back to 10 or 100 Mbps, so every device on the link must operate at Gigabit speed. For a link that needs 10/100/1000 auto-negotiation, the tri-speed SFP-GTX is the correct Advantech part. Advantech EKI-series industrial managed Ethernet switches that provide Gigabit SFP slots accept the module, and EdgeOptic codes the copper transceiver EEPROM so it is recognized on those Advantech platforms. Verify port support against the switch datasheet during commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Advantech SFP-GTX and SFP-GTXB?
Advantech's datasheet splits the family by line-rate class. The SFP-GTX (P/N 808-39001) is tri-speed and auto-negotiates 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps. The SFP-GTXB (P/N 808-39010), the part on this page, is gigabit-only and links at a fixed 1000 Mbps 1000BASE-T with no 10 or 100 Mbps fallback. If the link has a 10 or 100 Mbps endpoint, order the SFP-GTX. For an all-Gigabit link, the SFP-GTXB is correct.
