Allied Telesis AT-SP10SR Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver

EdgeOptic’s 10G-SFP-300 compatible is an Allied Telesis-coded 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver operating at 850 nm over multimode fibre. The AT-SP10SR is Allied Telesis’s standard 10G short-reach optic, deployed across their enterprise switching portfolio including the x930, x950, and SBx908 GEN2 series. EdgeOptic programs the module EEPROM with Allied Telesis vendor ID, so the switch accepts it without generating unsupported-transceiver alerts. Optical performance follows IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR: 10.3125 Gbps line rate, 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, and a minimum 6.1 dB link budget. The transmitter output power range is -7.3 to -1.0 dBm, and receiver sensitivity is -11.1 dBm or better. Typical reach is 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 multimode fibre with LC duplex connectors.

The module supports multi-rate operation from 1.25 to 10.3125 Gbps, covering 10GbE, Gigabit Ethernet, and STM-64/OC-192 (9.953 Gbps). DDM/DOM diagnostics report real-time TX power, RX power, bias current, temperature, and supply voltage per SFF-8472. Alarm and warning thresholds are factory-calibrated, enabling the AlliedWare Plus NOS to flag optical degradation before it affects traffic. The SFP+ form factor conforms to SFF-8432 mechanical and SFF-8431 electrical specifications, making the module physically and electrically interchangeable with any MSA-compliant SFP+ cage. Operating temperature range is 0 to 70 degrees C (commercial grade). Power consumption stays under 1 W, within the SFP+ MSA thermal envelope.
