Allied Telesis compatible AT-SPTX Description

EdgeOptic's AT-SPTX compatible is an Allied Telesis-coded commercial-temperature version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-T multi-vendor 10/100/1000BASE-T copper SFP transceiver. It matches the form factor, electrical interface, and reach of the original Allied Telesis AT-SPTX, so it drops into the same RJ45 SFP ports on Allied Telesis switches that already accept the OEM part. The module is a copper twisted-pair transceiver, not a fiber optic part.

The transceiver runs over unshielded twisted-pair cable, with up to 100 m of reach on Cat 5, Cat 5e, or Cat 6. The RJ45 connector accepts standard structured cabling, and the tri-speed chipset auto-negotiates 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T, the Gigabit rate built to IEEE 802.3ab, with Auto MDI/MDI-X handling straight or crossover wiring. Operation falls in the commercial 0 to 70 degrees Celsius range on a single +3.3 V supply, and digital diagnostics monitoring is supported. The build follows the SFP Multi-Source Agreement and the INF-8074i specification.

AT-SPTX works on Allied Telesis switches including the AT-8000GS, AT-8000S, AT-8100S, AT-9000, AT-GS900M, AT-GS950, AT-x210, AT-x230, AT-x310, AT-x510, and AT-x600 families. The module turns a fiber SFP uplink port into a copper Gigabit interface on those switches, which keeps the uplink count flexible across mixed copper and fiber plant. The industrial extended-temperature variant AT-SPTX/I is a separate ordering code for outdoor or unconditioned sites.

EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM with Allied Telesis-recognized identity data so the module is accepted by Allied Telesis switches with standard SFP uplink ports. It works wherever the original AT-SPTX is specified for copper Gigabit access. Software-level transceiver support can vary by switch model and firmware revision, so verify the module against the AlliedWare Plus release notes or the transceiver compatibility list for the specific switch before deployment.

Backed by 15+ years of EdgeOptic compatibility engineering across vendor networking platforms, the AT-SPTX compatible carries CE and RoHS certification and meets the SFP Multi-Source Agreement. It ships next business day from EU stock with a lifetime warranty. For deployment questions, contact our sales team.
