EdgeOptic's AOC-Q-Q-100G-30M compatible is an Arista-coded 30m version of the EdgeOptic 100G-AOC-QSFP multi-vendor 100G QSFP28 active optical cable. It provides a point-to-point QSFP28-to-QSFP28 link for 100G Ethernet, with the optical fiber pre-terminated at both ends for 30m over OM3 multimode fiber. That suits Arista top-of-rack and leaf-spine 100G fabrics where a sealed, lightweight optical run is preferred over copper or separate transceivers and patch fiber.
The cable runs at 850nm using VCSEL transmitters and PIN photodiode receivers, carrying 100G Ethernet at 103.125 Gbps.
