Arista assigns the SFP-10G-SRL part number to its 10GBASE-SR SFP+ module. Despite the "SRL" suffix (sometimes interpreted as "Short Reach Lite"), the ordering code maps to a standard 10GBASE-SR specification used across the 7050X/X2/X3, 7060X/X2, 7280R/R2/R3, and 7500R/R2/R3 series platforms. EdgeOptic's compatible version is built on the 10G-SFP-300 platform and programmed with Arista-recognized EEPROM data, so EOS reads the module as a supported optic without warnings.
The 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver provide a minimum 6.1 dB optical budget per IEEE 802.3ae. On OM3 multimode fiber this translates to 300 m reach; on OM4, 400 m. Actual achievable distance depends on installed fiber attenuation, connector losses, and splice count. The LC/UPC duplex connector mates with standard MMF patch panels. DDM/DOM monitoring reports optical Tx/Rx power, temperature, supply voltage, and laser bias current in real time.
The chipset operates from 1.25 to 10.3125 Gbps, covering 10GbE; 1GbE rate availability depends on host port rate-select support and is not universal across all platforms.
