HPE catalogues the J9150A as part of the X132 transceiver series under the full designation "HPE X132 10G SFP+ LC SR Transceiver." This is the earlier revision of the J9150D, which HPE introduced as a direct replacement with identical optical specifications. Both modules are 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceivers for 850nm multimode fibre. The J9150A remains in wide deployment across installed Aruba and ProCurve switch bases, and HPE's compatibility matrices still list it for current-generation platforms alongside the J9150D.
