EdgeOptic's AFBR-710ASMZ compatible is an Avago-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver. AFBR-710ASMZ is Avago Technologies' extended-temperature ordering code for the 10GBASE-SR SFP+ used as a reference-design optic by network equipment manufacturers. The optic carries Avago-recognized EEPROM identification so host firmware registers the module under the standard transceiver-acceptance policy.
The module operates per IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 10GBASE-SR at 10.3125 Gbps, 850 nm VCSEL into duplex LC, with up to 300 m on OM3 and up to 400 m on OM4 multimode fiber. TX optical launch is −5 to 0 dBm and receiver sensitivity is −11.1 dBm for a 6.1 dB optical budget.
