EdgeOptic's 10G-SFPP-SR-8 compatible is a Brocade-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver, shipped as an 8-unit pack. 10G-SFPP-SR-8 is Brocade's ordering code for the 8-pack configuration of the 10GBASE-SR SFP+ used on Brocade VDX fabric switches and Ruckus ICX Ethernet switches with 10GE SFP+ cages. The optic carries Brocade-recognized EEPROM identification so the switch firmware registers each module under the standard transceiver-acceptance policy.
