XBR-000147 is Brocade's SWL (Short Wavelength) SFP+ for Fibre Channel SAN fabrics. The module operates across multiple FC rates: 10GFC (10.52 Gbps), 8GFC (8.5 Gbps), 4GFC (4.25 Gbps), 2GFC (2.125 Gbps), and 1GFC (1.0625 Gbps). Rate negotiation is handled by the host port on Brocade G610, G620, G630, 6510, 6520, and older B-Series directors. EdgeOptic's compatible version carries Brocade-recognized EEPROM coding, so Fabric OS reports the module without unsupported-optic alerts.
The 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver deliver a minimum 4.6 dB optical budget. At 8GFC line rate, this supports approximately 150 m on OM3 multimode fiber per FC-PI-4.3ae link budget calculations).
