Ciena XCVR-000CRJ Compatible 1000BASE-T Copper SFP

EdgeOptic's XCVR-000CRJ compatible is a Ciena-coded commercial-temperature version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-T multi-vendor 10/100/1000BASE-T copper SFP transceiver. It matches the form factor, electrical interface, and reach of the original Ciena XCVR-000CRJ, so it drops into the same RJ45 SFP ports on Ciena networking equipment that already accepts the OEM part. The module is a copper twisted-pair transceiver, not a fiber optic part.

The transceiver runs over unshielded twisted-pair cable, with up to 100 m of reach on Cat 5, Cat 5e, or Cat 6. The RJ45 connector accepts standard structured cabling, and the tri-speed chipset auto-negotiates 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T, the Gigabit rate built to IEEE 802.3ab, with Auto MDI/MDI-X handling straight or crossover wiring. Operation falls in the commercial 0 to 70 degrees Celsius range on a single +3.3 V supply, and digital diagnostics monitoring is supported.
