DS-SFP-GE-T Cisco Compatible 1000BASE-T Copper SFP Transceiver

EdgeOptic's DS-SFP-GE-T compatible is a Cisco-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-M multi-vendor 1000BASE-T SFP transceiver. Cisco's own MDS 9000 Series Pluggable Transceivers datasheet documents DS-SFP-GE-T as a copper Gigabit Ethernet SFP module for standard Category 5 UTP cabling. It runs Gigabit Ethernet only, at a fixed 1000 Mbps, through an RJ45 connector, with a maximum reach of 100 meters. Operating temperature is 0 to 70 degrees Celsius at +3.3V, and DDM/DOM diagnostics report temperature and supply voltage. The module is built to SFP MSA (INF-8074i) form factor and electrical specifications, with CE and RoHS compliance. It is commonly deployed for switch-to-switch uplinks, server and NIC connections, and other short-reach Gigabit Ethernet links in enterprise LAN and data center access layers.

EdgeOptic's compatible carries Cisco-recognized EEPROM coding for platforms that accept the DS-SFP-GE-T code, including Cisco MDS 9000 Series switches.
