D-Link DEM-431XT-DD Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver

EdgeOptic's 10G-SFP-300 compatible is a D-Link-coded 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver. The DEM-431XT-DD is D-Link's part number for an 850 nm short-reach SFP+ used across the DXS-3400, DXS-3600, and DGS-3630 managed switch families. EdgeOptic programs the EEPROM with D-Link vendor ID and product code so the switch accepts the module and reports it correctly in the web GUI and CLI without unsupported-transceiver alerts. Optical parameters follow IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR: 10.3125 Gbps line rate, 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, and a minimum link budget of 6.1 dB. That translates to 300 m reach on OM3 fibre and 400 m on OM4 with LC duplex connectors. Transmitter output power is -7.3 to -1.0 dBm, and receiver sensitivity is -11.1 dBm or better.

Multi-rate operation from 1.0625 to 10.3125 Gbps covers Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps) and STM-64/OC-192 (9.953 Gbps) in addition to 10GbE. DDM/DOM per SFF-8472 provides TX power, RX power, bias current, temperature, and voltage readings with factory-calibrated alarm and warning thresholds for proactive fault detection. The "-DD" suffix in the D-Link part number indicates Digital Diagnostics Monitoring support, distinguishing it from the base DEM-431XT which may lack DDM capability. The SFP+ form factor conforms to SFF-8432 (mechanical) and SFF-8431 (electrical). Operating temperature range is 0 to 70 degrees C, with power consumption under 1 W.
