Dell (Force10) compatible 407-BBEL Description
EdgeOptic's 407-BBEL compatible is a Dell-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-T multi-vendor 10/100/1000BASE-T copper SFP transceiver. It matches the form factor, electrical interface, and reach of the original Dell Force10 407-BBEL, so it drops into the same RJ45 SFP ports on Dell Networking and Force10 switches that already accept the OEM part. The 407-BBEL is a copper twisted-pair module, not a fiber optic part.
The transceiver runs over unshielded twisted-pair cable, with up to 100 m of reach on Cat 5, Cat 5e, or Cat 6. The RJ45 connector accepts standard structured cabling, and the tri-speed chipset auto-negotiates 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T, the Gigabit rate built to IEEE 802.3ab, with Auto MDI/MDI-X handling straight or crossover wiring. Operation falls in the commercial 0 to 70 degrees Celsius range on a single +3.3 V supply, and digital diagnostics monitoring is supported. The build follows the SFP Multi-Source Agreement and the INF-8074i specification.
407-BBEL is a current-era Dell Networking ordering code for the Dell Force10 copper SFP line. Works on Dell Networking and Dell PowerSwitch switches wherever the original 407-BBEL is specified for copper Gigabit access. The Dell Force10 family ships the same physical copper SFP under several ordering codes; the 407-BBEL code is distinct from the sibling 407-BBOS code and from the original GP-SFP2-1T hardware designation. Order against the exact ordering code printed on the chassis transceiver table to keep procurement traceable.
EdgeOptic codes the EEPROM with Dell-recognized identity data so the module is accepted on Dell Networking switches with standard SFP host ports. Supported transceiver lists vary by switch model and Dell OS release, so verify the part against the chassis transceiver table and the release notes for the specific switch and software version before deployment.
Backed by 15+ years of EdgeOptic compatibility engineering across vendor networking platforms, the 407-BBEL compatible carries CE and RoHS marking and meets the SFP Multi-Source Agreement and INF-8074i. It ships next business day from EU stock with a lifetime warranty. For deployment questions, contact our sales team.
