EdgeOptic's OC10-SR-OPT-1 compatible is an Emulex-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver, supplied for Emulex Fibre Channel host bus adapters and Converged Network Adapters with 10G SFP+ cages. Emulex-recognized EEPROM lets the optic register cleanly on the host card, so the Emulex HBA/CNA driver accepts the module as the OEM OC10-SR-OPT-1 form. Emulex is now a Broadcom brand, and the OC10 family continues under Broadcom Inc.'s storage networking portfolio.
850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, multi-mode duplex LC. Reach is up to 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 multi-mode fiber per the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR specification. TX output power runs −5 to 0 dBm, receiver sensitivity −11.1 dBm, link budget 6.1 dB. DDM/DOM supported via SFF-8472 for live link diagnostics.
