# Product Description

Extreme Networks compatible 40GB-SR4-QSFP is QSFP (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) Transceiver, operating over 4 Lanes of MMF optical cable. It has a minimum guaranteed optical budget of 1.9 dB, with in most cases is enough to reach about 150 m distance. However, distance is just indicative parameter calculated for comfort of identification. Eventually we calculate distance taking into account minimal optical budget and average attenuation of optical cabling in industry. Extreme Networks 40GB-SR4-QSFP compatible transceiver use top quality VSCEL Laser transmitter operating at nominal wavelength 850 nm. and 850 nm. PIN photodiode receiver. It supports DDM/DOM optical diagnostics, which provide diagnostic information about the present operating conditions. Extreme Networks compatible QSFP 40G SR4 QSFP (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) operates in Standard 0°-70°C temperature range and has MTP/MPO interface. QSFP support 1.25-44.8 Gbps data rate and such applications as 4 x InfiniBand QDR(10Gbps), 40G Ethernet (41.25Gbps), OTU3 (43.01Gbps), OTU3e2 (44.58Gbps).
