FTLF8528P2BCV-QL Finisar Compatible SFP+ for QLogic Fibre Channel

Finisar (now II-VI/Coherent) assigned FTLF8528P2BCV-QL as the QLogic-coded version of their FTLF8528P2BCV shortwave Fibre Channel SFP+ transceiver. The -QL suffix means the module EEPROM is programmed with QLogic vendor identifiers, allowing QLogic HBA firmware to recognize the optic without generating compatibility alerts or disabling the port. This part number appears in QLogic's qualified media lists for the QLE2560/QLE2562 (8G FC), QLE2670/QLE2672 (16G FC), and QLE2690/QLE2692 (32G FC in backward-compatible mode). The QLogic EEPROM coding is the only difference from the base FTLF8528P2BCV; optical and electrical characteristics are shared between both variants.

This is a multi-rate Fibre Channel module covering the full FC speed range: 1x FC (1.0625 Gbps), 2x FC (2.125 Gbps), 4x FC (4.25 Gbps), 8x FC (8.5 Gbps), and 10x FC (10.52 Gbps). The actual negotiated speed depends on the HBA port capability and the FC switch port on the other end of the link.
