EdgeOptic's FTLF8528P3BCV-QL compatible is a QLogic-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-rate SFP+ transceiver, supplied for 8 Gbps Fibre Channel Short Wave operation on QLogic Fibre Channel host bus adapters. QLogic-recognized EEPROM lets the optic register cleanly on QLogic HBA SFP+ cages, so the host accepts the module without a vendor-mismatch alert. One universal multi-rate hardware platform, 80+ vendor codes, including this QLogic 8GFC variant.

Optical parameters for 8GFC Short Wave operation on this platform. 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, multi-mode duplex LC. Reach is up to 150 m on OM3 at 8.5 Gbps Fibre Channel per FC-PI-4 Table 16 (2000 MHz·km OM3). TX output power runs −5 to 0 dBm, receiver sensitivity −11.1 dBm, link budget 6.1 dB, meeting and exceeding the FC-PI-4 minimum specifications. The optic also covers 1G, 2G, and 4G Fibre Channel rates within the multi-rate envelope of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 platform. DDM/DOM supported via SFF-8472 for live link diagnostics.
