EdgeOptic's AJ716B compatible is an HPE-coded 8G Fibre Channel short-wave version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor SFP+ transceiver. The HPE EEPROM identifies the optic as a recognized B-series accessory on HPE StoreFabric SAN switches, so the switch port accepts the module without a vendor-mismatch warning. One universal multimode SFP+ hardware platform, 80+ vendor codes, including this HPE B-series Fibre Channel variant.
