EdgeOptic's C8R23A compatible is an HPE-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-rate SFP+ transceiver, supplied for 8 Gbps Fibre Channel Short Wave operation on HPE MSA storage controllers with 8GFC host ports. HPE-recognized EEPROM lets the optic register cleanly on MSA controller SFP+ cages without a vendor-mismatch alert. C8R23A is HPE's option part number (4-pack kit); the model PN is FTLF8528P3BCV-1H, the spare PN is 717875-001, and the assembly PN is 720998-001.
Optical parameters for 8GFC Short Wave operation on this platform. 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, multi-mode duplex LC.
