EdgeOptic's C8R25B compatible is an HPE-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver. C8R25B is HPE's part number for the MSA 10Gb Short Range iSCSI SFP+ used in HPE MSA storage controllers. Despite the C8R prefix that some HPE part numbers share with Brocade-derived FC SAN modules, C8R25B is an iSCSI-over-Ethernet transceiver, not an FC SAN optic. The EEPROM is coded for HPE MSA host bus recognition.
