JD092B Compatible HPE X130 10G SFP+ LC SR Transceiver

JD092B is the HPE X130 part number for a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver, originally introduced under the H3C product line before HPE absorbed H3C's networking portfolio. It replaced the earlier JD092A revision and remains listed in HPE's current compatibility matrices for the A5120, A5500, A5800, 5900, 5920, FlexFabric 5700, FlexFabric 5940, and MSR series routers. The JD092B is part of HPE's X130 transceiver family, which covers short-reach multimode optics across the FlexNetwork and FlexFabric switch architectures. Platform support spans both Comware-based and ProVision-based operating systems, though individual port qualification should be verified against HPE's transceiver compatibility matrix for the specific switch model and firmware revision in use. The X130 designation groups all HPE multimode SFP+ transceivers under a common product family, with the JD092B covering the SR (short-reach, 850 nm) variant and other X130 part numbers addressing LR and ER reach classes.

The module operates at 850 nm over duplex multimode fiber with LC/UPC connectors. Minimum guaranteed optical budget is 6.1 dB, which translates to 300 m reach on OM3 fiber and 400 m on OM4 or higher-grade multimode cabling. Actual achievable distance depends on the installed fiber plant conditions, including splice count, connector loss, and fiber age. The 850 nm VCSEL transmitter is paired with a PIN photodiode receiver. DDM/DOM optical diagnostics per SFF-8472 report real-time transmit power, receive power, laser bias current, temperature, and supply voltage. Standard commercial operating temperature range is 0 to 70 C. The SFP+ form factor conforms to SFF-8431 (electrical) and SFF-8432 (mechanical) specifications. The module is hot-pluggable and does not require a host reboot for insertion or removal.

The transceiver shows the expected JD092B product identifier in show transceiver and display transceiver outputs on H3C-lineage platforms. On ProVision-based switches, the module appears under the show tech transceiver output with the correct HPE vendor string, including the JD092B product number and revision fields.
