This transceiver is designed for Double Fiber Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF) optical cable operation. It has a minimum guaranteed optical budget of 4.6 dB, which in most cases is sufficient to reach a distance of approximately 300 meters. However, distance is merely an indicative parameter calculated for identification convenience. Eventually, we calculate distance by factoring in minimal optical budget and average attenuation of industrial optical cabling. EX-SFP-10GE-SR (740-021308) compatible transceiver employs a VSCEL Laser transmitter with a nominal wavelength of 850 nm and a PIN Photodiode receiver with the same nominal wavelength. >Juniper Networks EX-SFP-10GE-SR 10G SFP+ multimode transceivers support DDM/DOM optical diagnostics, which provide operational condition-specific diagnostic data.
