EdgeOptic's MFM1T02A-SR compatible is a Mellanox-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver. Mellanox-recognized EEPROM lets the optic register cleanly on legacy Mellanox ConnectX-3 EN and ConnectX-4 EN host adapters and on SwitchX-2 SN and SX switch SFP+ cages, so the host accepts the module without a vendor alert under MLNX-OS. One universal SR hardware platform, 80+ vendor codes, including this Mellanox variant.

No. MFM1T02A-SR is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ optic per IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR; it does not carry InfiniBand. ConnectX-5 and ConnectX-6 InfiniBand links at EDR (100G) and HDR (200G) run over QSFP28 and QSFP56 cages with their own active optical cables, direct attach copper, or transceivers, and use NVIDIA InfiniBand link layer rather than Ethernet 10GBASE-SR.
