EdgeOptic's MFA1A00-C100 compatible is a Nvidia-coded 100m version of the EdgeOptic 100G-AOC-QSFP multi-vendor 100G QSFP28 active optical cable. It provides a point-to-point QSFP28-to-QSFP28 link for 100G Ethernet, with the optical fiber pre-terminated at both ends for up to 100 meters over OM4 multimode fiber. That suits high-density data center and AI/HPC fabric links where a sealed, lightweight optical run is preferred over copper or separate transceivers and patch fiber.
The cable runs at 850nm using VCSEL transmitters and PIN photodiode receivers, supporting 100G Ethernet (103.125 Gbps) and InfiniBand EDR (100 Gbps) across data rates from 96.97 to 112.2 Gbps.
