QNAP TRX-10GITSFPP-SR Compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Transceiver for QSW and NAS

EdgeOptic's TRX-10GITSFPP-SR compatible is a QNAP-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver. The OEM TRX-10GITSFPP-SR is QNAP's short-reach 10G SFP+ for the QSW switch family and 10GbE-equipped QNAP NAS appliances, including TS-, TVS-, and TES-series units that carry SFP+ cages.

Optical specs follow the 10G-SFP-300 root: 850 nm transmit and receive, 20 nm bandwidth (840 to 860 nm), 300 m over OM3 and 400 m over OM4 / OM5 multimode fiber, duplex LC/UPC connector, 6.1 dB average link budget. Transmit power is −5 to 0 dBm, receiver sensitivity is −11.1 dBm, and receiver overload is 0 dBm. The transmitter is a VCSEL laser, the receiver a PIN photodiode, and DOM/DDM is supported per SFF-8472. The 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps multi-rate envelope per SFF-8431 also lets the module rate-select to 1000BASE-SX (1.25 Gbps) on dual-rate hosts, which is useful during phased upgrades from 1G to 10G aggregation.

QNAP's OEM TRX-10GITSFPP-SR datasheet rates the original module for an extended industrial temperature range. The EdgeOptic compatible follows the 10G-SFP-300 root specification at the standard commercial 0 to 70 °C operating range. For QNAP deployments inside an HVAC-controlled rack environment this is the relevant operating window.
