EdgeOptic's TRX-10GITSFPP-SR compatible is a QNAP-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver. QNAP-recognized EEPROM lets the module register cleanly on QNAP QSW switches and 10GbE NAS network expansion cards without a vendor-override step.
The optical engine pairs an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter with a PIN photodiode receiver over duplex LC/UPC multimode fiber, reaching 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 and OM5. TX output runs from −5 dBm to 0 dBm against a −11.1 dBm receiver sensitivity and 0 dBm overload, for a 6.1 dB average link budget. DOM diagnostics per SFF-8472 report live TX/RX power, bias current, voltage and temperature. The underlying hardware spans a 1.25 to 11.32 Gbps data rate envelope. On QNAP QSW switches and NAS 10GbE SFP+ expansion cards the application scope is Ethernet only, covering 10G Ethernet at 10.31 Gbps and Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps; QNAP networking equipment does not frame Fibre Channel or SONET/SDH traffic.
