Ruijie Networks Mini-GBIC-GT Compatible 1000BASE-T Copper SFP

EdgeOptic's Mini-GBIC-GT compatible is a Ruijie-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-M, a gigabit copper SFP for 1000BASE-T links. Ruijie Networks markets the module as Mini-GBIC-GT, where Mini-GBIC is the industry's legacy name for the SFP form factor, so this is a standard hot-pluggable SFP transceiver, not a full-size legacy GBIC. It presents a 1000BASE-X interface to the host and converts to 1000BASE-T over Cat 5e/6 twisted-pair copper with an RJ45 connector, reaching up to 100 m.

The module is gigabit-only at a fixed 1000 Mbps, with no 10 or 100BASE-T fallback, so both ends of the link must run at gigabit speed. It works across the commercial 0 to 70 °C range on a +3.3 V supply and supports DDM for real-time diagnostics. Ruijie specifies that the switch port be configured with auto-negotiation for the module to link. Copper-SFP support varies by Ruijie switch model, and some models do not accept copper SFPs, so verify the module against the switch's transceiver support before ordering. EdgeOptic codes the module's EEPROM to be recognized by Ruijie switches, and the transceiver conforms to IEEE 802.3ab (Clause 40) and the INF-8074i SFP MSA, with CE and RoHS compliance.
