EdgeOptic's SFP-10GE-M compatible is a ZTE-coded 10GBASE-SR version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor SFP+ transceiver. The module is built to the IEEE 802.3ae Clause 52 short-reach physical-medium specification and runs at 10.3125 Gbps over duplex multimode fiber, with ZTE-recognized EEPROM so the switch software accepts the optic without third-party-module warnings. Form factor is SFP+ per SFF-8431, compatible with the standard SFP MSA host connector found on ZTE 10G aggregation and access platforms.
Optical specifications match the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 baseline. 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, transmit power −5 to 0 dBm, receive sensitivity −11.1 dBm, average link budget 6.1 dB. Reach is 300 m over OM3 and 400 m over OM4 multimode fiber with a duplex LC connector. The optic is hot-pluggable and reports digital diagnostics monitoring per SFF-8472, including temperature, supply voltage, TX bias current, transmit power, and receive power, so engineers can verify link health from the host switch command interface without dropping the link.
The SFP-10GE-M is ordered for ZTE routing and switching platforms with 10GBASE-SR SFP+ slots. ZTE does not publish English-language transceiver compatibility tables in the public domain, so cross-check the chassis transceiver guide and the running software release before deployment, particularly when mixing first-generation 10G line cards with newer aggregation hardware.
