EdgeOptic's J8177D compatible is an HPE Aruba-coded version of the EdgeOptic 1000M-SFP-M multi-vendor 1000BASE-T SFP transceiver. It is a fixed Gigabit copper module: RJ45 connector, Cat5/5e twisted-pair cabling, 100 meter maximum reach, and DDM/DOM diagnostics for supply voltage and temperature monitoring. The module follows the standard SFP MSA form factor, so it fits a standard SFP cage that supports a Gigabit copper optic.
