Our EDGEOPTIC 100G-CFP4-10 is a multi-vendor compatible 100GBASE-LR4 CFP4 optical module designed for high-density 100 Gigabit Ethernet applications operating over single-mode fiber infrastructure. The 100G-CFP4-10 module utilizes 4-channel LAN WDM technology with wavelengths at 1295.56nm, 1300.05nm, 1304.58nm, and 1309.14nm for both transmission and reception, supporting aggregate data rates up to 112 Gbps including OTU4 optical transport network applications. Our 100G CFP4 LR4 module employs EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser) technology for transmission and PIN photodiode array for reception, delivering reliable performance in the compact CFP4 form factor.

The module ensures a 6.3 dB guaranteed optical link budget, supporting transmission distances up to 10 kilometers over standard single-mode fiber. Each of the four optical lanes operates at approximately 25 Gbps using NRZ (Non-Return to Zero) modulation, with average launch power ranging from 4.3 to 4.5 dBm per lane. The receiver sensitivity of -10.6 dBm per lane with overload protection up to 4.5 dBm provides robust signal detection across diverse link conditions. While CFP4 represents a legacy form factor approaching end-of-life status in cutting-edge deployments, these modules offer crucial density advantages over CFP2 predecessors, providing four times the port density in existing infrastructure where CFP4 interfaces remain operational.

100G-CFP4-10 compatible module features hot-pluggable installation with duplex LC connectors as the optical interface. The electrical interface complies with CFP4 MSA specifications, ensuring compatibility with standard CFP4 host systems across multiple vendor platforms. Our 100GBASE-LR4 CFP4 module can be encoded for seamless operation with 80+ equipment brands through custom EEPROM programming. The module incorporates advanced DDM/DOM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) functionality, providing comprehensive real-time telemetry including per-lane optical power monitoring, module temperature, laser bias current, and supply voltage through the MSA-compliant management interface.

Standards compliance encompasses IEEE 802.3ba for 100 Gigabit Ethernet and OTU4 support for carrier-grade transport networks. The integrated CDR (Clock and Data Recovery) circuits maintain signal integrity and timing accuracy across the full operational range. Operating within 0 to 70°C temperature range with single +3.3V power supply, the module delivers consistent performance in standard data center environments while offering improved power efficiency compared to earlier CFP generations.
